What’s keeping me silent

Nowadays everyone can write, just as I am doing in this very moment.

What is troubling my mind is how everyone can share their opinion about everything and be taken in consideration, even if it may or not be true.

You do not need a diploma, just a huge number of followers to “raise” the credibility and some of the people that are doing a favour to this “fake news” are considered the “Modern Gods”.

From what I’ve talked above, you would say that I envy them, but in fact I am starting to worry about how it will be defined the “authenticity” notion in the near future, because we are already half there.

My questions are the following:

  1. It is said that we should choose quality over quantity, but if, when it comes to information, we believe numbers instead of the quality of the content by doing our little research, that implies, so far, a little thought-exercise, what will be the percentage of the people that will give the extra-time for finding out what’s true or not, in this fast & furious adventure?
  2. If the “fake news” phenomenon have always existed as a natural selection, how long will it take until we will make a real step in this climate change crysis? and not only changing from plastic straws into paper ones, even if it is a beginning…

If things at home were going in a wrong direction, or into one that you personally did not like, and unfortunately, nobody was doing anything to help getting it better, or at least at a decent level, you were leaving, but what will you do when you will have nowhere to go?

What I do and hope that you will do too

Planting trees also helps.

Have a happy and responsible new year!
